After the fairies, spells and spinning wheels of Sleeping Beauty, we thought it was time to swap the castle for the high seas. So for our next adventure, the Brindle Players are setting sail for somewhere altogether more dangerous… Treasure Island!

We headed back to one of our trusted favourites, Lazy Bee Scripts, and found a version of this classic adventure that felt just right for Brindle. There’s a treasure map, a ship full of suspicious-looking pirates, a mysterious island and, somewhere out there, a fortune waiting to be found. What could possibly go wrong?

Quite a lot, as it turns out.

Packed with songs, silliness, larger-than-life characters, plenty of “behind you!” moments and all the usual Brindle nonsense, this is Treasure Island as you probably won’t remember it.

The crew are assembling, the treasure map has been found and plans for the Hispaniola are already under way. We’re counting cutlasses, practising our best “Aaaaarghs” and preparing for rather more wooden limbs than we’re used to.

So grab your sea legs, keep an eye out for pirates and whatever you do… leave the buns alone!
